Mayor of Co Kildare says today's meeting with Minister in Athy is 'extremely disappointing'

The Mayor of Co Kildare is slamming today's meeting  regarding the loss of 82 jobs due to Coca Cola's closure in Athy as 'extremely disappointing.'

Cllr Martin Miley said: " It is extremely disappointing meeting with Minister Heather Humphreys today in Athy library in relation to the closure of Coca-Cola and the development of jobs in Athy. " He said: "This is the second meeting now with the senior minister with absolutely no commitments. With over 27% unemployment in Athy a task force from national level needs to be formed to ensure the concentration is put on job creation."
