A woman in her 30s has died following a fatal, two-car crash.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a fatal, two-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the N24 at Kilsheelan, Co Tipperary.

The crash happened on Friday, March 29 at approximately 10pm.

A female passenger of one of the cars was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Her body was removed from the scene to Waterford University Hospital, where a post mortem examination is due to take place.

The male driver of the same car, aged in his 40s, was also brought to Waterford University Hospital for his injuries which are believed be non-life-threatening at this time.

The driver and a passenger of the second car, both males aged in their late teens, were conveyed to Waterford University Hospital for treatment for injuries also believed be non-life-threatening at this time.

A female passenger of the second car, also in her late teens, was conveyed to Tipperary University Hospital for treatment for injuries believed be non-life-threatening at this time.

The road remains closed at this time and local traffic diversions are in place. The scene is currently preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
 
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
 
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), and were travelling in the area of the N24 between 9.30pm and 10.10pm are asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
