Officers stopped a vehicle where the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

The driver was very intoxicated and refused to provide a roadside breath specimen.

The driver was arrested and brought to Leixlip Garda Station, where they remained uncooperative and again refused to provide a breath, blood, or urine sample.

The driver has been charged with three offences and will appear in court soon.

The motorist, if convicted, could face:

  • A 4-year driving disqualification
