Mrs Brown's Boys star walking through towns in Kildare today in effort to raise funds for charity

One of the stars of the hit Irish show, Mrs Brown's Boys, will be walking the roads of Kildare today as she continues her huge trek from Cork to Belfast in aid of charity.
Actor Fiona O'Carroll, who plays Agnes in the show, is calling on the people of Monasterevin, Kildare Town, Newbridge and Naas to come out today to support her as she goes past the halfway stage of her journey to the Northern Irish city. She was over 125 miles walked already, and this will be her seventh day of the journey after setting out last Friday.

“I had done the Dublin Marathon and then I wanted to do the London Marathon and was looking for acharity,” she said before setting off on the 10-day walk.
“A friend mentioned Billy’s World to me so I did it for them. Now anytime I get a chance to do anything for charity I do it for them.”
“We are walking from Cork to Belfast, 20 miles a day, for 13 days,” she said.
“We are doing bucket collections in the towns we pass along the way. I’m roping in some of the cast and friends from the entertainment business.”
Fiona has also pledged to donate €1 to the charity for every car that beeps at her along the way, meaning she could be signing quite a hefty cheque by the time she touches down in Belfast. She is hoping to raise €60,000 from doing the walk.
