100 years since the end of World War One, internationally renowned  singer songwriter Andy Hall, based in Naas, and a native of  Stoke-on-Trent, performed a moving rendition of No Man's Land (Green Fields of France) today at The Curragh, Co Kildare.

The whole of the Curragh, on the declaration of war, was immediately directed towards preparation for war.

It has been said that one of the finest surviving examples of practice trenches in the Republic of Ireland can be seen at the Curragh.
