Naas Cllr appealing for footpaths to be 'reinstated properly'
22:47 Tuesday 18th of September 2018

Appeals are being made by a Naas County Councillor for the footpaths in the town to be 'reinstated properly' after undeground cabling is complete.

Cllr Darren Scully is being given reassurances by Kildare County Council in a response that 'the reinstatement of the footpaths has been discussed with the Municipal District Engineer and the project team overseeing the contractors undergrounding the cables along this section of Main Street. The Roads Department is working with the Local Accessibility Group and other stakeholders towards the introduction of the Naas Gold Star initiative, to make the town accessible and welcoming to all. The proper reinstatement of the footpath to a high standard of finish is a key priority in support of this initiative.'
