A man who Naas District Court heard was bringing his child to hospital, when he got stopped for no insurance, was convicted today.
Evidence was heard how on April 19, 2017, at 3pm, in Newhall, Naas, he was charged with failing to produce insurance.
The court heard how he had eight previous convictions, and three of these were for road traffic matters.
Defence Solicitor, Eoin Powderly, told the court how the accused was bringing his child to hospital and did not have car insurance.
He asked that the court would be as lenient as possible.
Judge Desmond Zaidan imposed a €600 fine, with six months to pay. Failing to produce insurance was taken into consideration.
