Naas Court sees man before it found with €5 of cannabis

A man who appeared before Naas District Court was warned by the Judge that 'smoking dope will destroy' his brain cells.

The 34 -year-old man who was stopped by Garda Gráinne Phelan was found with €5 worth of a cannabis joint, ready to be smoked.

Evidence was given that the accused had a previous conviction for being found in possession of €100 worth of cannabis.

Judge Desmond Zaidan warned the accused that if he is caught with cannabis for a third time, then he will be go to prison for 12 months.

A €500 was imposed with six months to pay.
