Naas Court today hears how man drives into  'speed trap' at Kilcullen

A man told Naas District Court today how he drove into a 'speed trap' in Co Kildare.

Evidence was given by the man who pleaded guilty to driving at a speed of 62km/hr in a 50km zone.

The man told the court how at Kilcullen, a lorry overtook him, claiming that the lorry almost collided with him, and that he then accelerated and subsequently drove into a 'speed trap' at Kilcullen.

According to the accused, it was the 'third time' that a lorry almost collided with him.

He told the court that while he accepts that he was speeding, he did not receive a fixed penalty notice.

Also he outlined to the court how he needs his carry to carry out his job.

Judge Desmond Zaidan imposed the Probation Act Section (1) (1).
