Naas District Court hears 'father' who gave untaxed car to student daughter is 'remorseful'
16:59 Wednesday 13th of September 2017

A Naas District Judge has ordered a father who Defence says gave a car with expired tax to his daughter.

Evidence was given that his 19-year-old daughter was stopped for not having car tax.

Defence Barrister, Sarah Connolly, said: "He did not realise the tax was out of date. She is upset. He is remorseful."

Judge Desmond Zaidan said that if the father was that upset, he would be in court and the daughter would also be in court.

He ordered the father to appear before Naas District Court on October 18, next for hearing.
