A man appeared before Naas District Court facing a charge of attempting to steal nine cans of beer and Glensallagh ham at Lidl.
The accused was charged with attempting to steal at Lidl Naas, on February 6, 2019.
The nine cans of beer were worth €9 while the ham was worth €1.99.
Represented by Defence Solicitor, Matthew Byrne, he asked if the charge could be struck out.
Sgt Brian Jacob outlined to Naas District Court how they have not been able to get CCTV evidence.
Judge Desmond Zaidan ordered that the charge was struck out.
