Naas District Court warns man he 'fell out with a friend' who did not pay speeding fine

A man told Naas District Court that he fell out with a friend who did not pay his  speeding fine for him.

Evidence was given that the accused was driving at a speed of 122km/hr in an 80km zone.

He said: "I was in Canada for a while, I told my mate to pay for the fine. He did not. We fell out over this."

The court heard how the accused had no previous convictions.

Judge Desmond Zaidan imposed the Probation Act Section 1(1).
