Naas Gardaí seize car from uninsured driver who was 'several times over the limit'

Naas Gardaí have charged a driver with drink driving after stopping the motorist on Friday.

A unit from the Naas Traffic Corps stopped the uninsured driver who was found to be several times over the limit while behind the wheel.

Gardaí seized the Peugeot 407 vehicle from the motorist and they will appear in court at a later date.

On the previous day, members from the same unit of Naas Gardaí seized two vehicles in the space of 30 minutes from the same driver who had no insurance.

The bizarre incident saw members of the Naas Traffic Corps take an uninsured Toyota jeep off the road, and 30 minutes later they noticed the same driver behind the wheel of a Renault Megane car that also had no insurance.

They seized the second vehicle, and the driver will appear in court in the coming months.
