Naas Gardaí are warning people about a scam involving a blank piece of paper.

At a Naas cafe on Saturday last, October 13, a woman was approached by a man, who proceeded to put a piece of paper on top of her handbag which contained her mobile phone.

It is understood that the woman was sitting down in the coffee shop and that her handbag was underneath the table with the mobile phone inside her bag.

The man is reported to have lifted the ladies mobile phone with the piece of paper, while he was talking to her,  and left the building, when  he was approached by staff at the coffee shop. Afterwards the woman discovered that her mobile phone was gone.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Naas Garda Station.
