Van driver dies in Tipperary lorry crash

A van driver has been killed in a crash in Co Tipperary.

The collision, which also involved an articulated lorry, happened on the N24 between Barne Lodge and Condon’s Cross at approximately 10.40am on Monday.

The male driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road, which is the main route between Waterford and Limerick, was closed for forensic examination and local diversions were put in place.

Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.

Any road users who were travelling on the N24 between 10am and 10.45am and may have camera footage are asked to make it available to gardai.
