The Joe Biden mural at Bachelors Walk in Dundalk appears to have been vandalised in the last few days with the words “War Crimes” and “Free Palestine” daubed over the work along with what appears to be red paint.

The work was created as part of the recent SEEK Urban Arts Festival by French artist Aero to commemorate the US President’s visit to the town in April this year.

The mural represents Biden’s connection to Dundalk and north Louth depicting the immigrant journey his great, great grandfather, Owen Finnegan took when he departed from Louth to New York in 1849.
