Gardaí seize uninsured car driven by unlicensed driver with toddler as passenger

Gardaí have this Wednesday taken action by stopping a vehicle without an insurance disc on display.

The Longford gardaí were then surprised to find the driver, a young male, was found to have never held a permit or driving license of any category.

Gardaí have said this was "especially dangerous" as he had his toddler sibling as a passenger.

The vehicle, which had been operating without insurance and tax for the past two years, was promptly seized by the Gardaí. 

A garda spokesperson said: "The siblings were brought home to family and court proceedings for the driving offences will follow."
