Flight to holiday destination diverts to Dublin Airport due to medical emergency

A flight was diverted to Dublin Airport this Tuesday afternoon following a medical emergency onboard.

According to Shaun's Aviation on X, the Newcastle to Tenerife flight, LS505/EXS49JG, operated by Jet2 airline, made an unscheduled landing to address the medical situation.

Upon its arrival at Dublin Airport, emergency services were deployed and stood by on the north runway.

The nature of the medical emergency and the condition of the passenger involved have not been disclosed at this time.

Following the procedure the aircraft was scheduled to resume its journey to Tenerife, departing at 1:35pm.
