Gardaí in Enniscorthy have confirmed that they are investigating a violent fight which broke out in the middle of the road in broad daylight on a busy street in Co. Wexford on Saturday evening.
The incident saw a vicious brawl between multiple men in the middle of the road, some of whom seemed to be shirtless, while young families out nearby and a busy road of drivers looked on.
During a particularly brutal part of the fight, one of the fighters swings a vicious kick at his rival on the floor, at which point other members of the group pick the man up off the road and move him onto the nearby footpath.
As reported by the Wexford People, the fight broke out at the corner of Spring Valley and Templeshannon Quay, and spilled over onto the road bringing traffic to a halt as the two topless males exchanged punches while awaiting motorists beeped their horns and called Gardaí.
In a statement, Gardaí said they "are investigating a public order incident which occurred at Templeshannon Quay in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford on Saturday evening.
"An Garda Síochána is aware of videos circulating online and is appealing to anyone with information to contact Enniscorthy Garda Station on 053 9242580, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station."
Many were quick to condemn the scuffle online, with comments regarding the fight as "disgraceful" and a "poor reflection on Enniscorthy".
No arrests have been made as of yet.
