'Scuab-E-Doo' among names suggested for Dublin Airport cleaning robot

'James McClean' and 'Scuab-E-Doo' are among names suggested for a cleaning robot at Dublin Airport.

The robot - which bears a loose resemblance to R2D2 from the Star Wars franchise - can be seen sweeping what is believed to be Terminal 1 in a video posted to Dublin Airport's X page.

It was posted with the caption, "Can feel another naming competition coming on…" and has been viewed almost 30,000 times, with over 60 people leaving comments with their own name suggestions.

Some of the best name suggestions from social media users include 'R2T2', 'Aer Cleanus', 'Optimus Grime', 'Michael O'Clear-y' and 'Baile Atha Clianer'.

One X user commented, "Ah it's gotta be Bosco... Just look at them cheeks."

Other suggestions include: "Cinderella. Does all the cleaning without any help…" and "Surely Mrs Doyle."
