Joey and Robyn Carbery have welcomed their first child, “a beautiful baby boy”.

Robyn shared the good news on Instagram this Monday, saying “You’re finally here, welcome to the world our beautiful baby boy”. They haven’t revealed his name as of yet.

Joey’s Munster Rugby teammates Rory and Niall Scannell were among the first to congratulate Robyn and Joey, who will shortly be leaving the province for Top-14 side Bordeaux Bègles.

The rugby player, who has 37 caps for Ireland, is currently out of action with a thumb injury which hopefully won’t stop him cradling his son.

The couple wed last summer after Joey popped the question during a visit to Central Park in New York in 2021.

Another to congratulate the happy couple was Joanna Murray. She and her husband - Munster and Ireland scrum-half Conor - revealed their baby news on Instagram last month.
