A man has died from his injuries following an overnight motorcycle crash in Dublin.
Gardai were alerted to the single-vehicle incident at Constitution Hill, Dublin 7 at approximately 2.20am. The male driver of the motorcycle (aged in his 30’s) was conveyed to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of the collision, and the outbound lane of the road is currently closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
A statement from the gardaí informed drivers that local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on Constitution Hill, Dublin 7, between 1.30am and 2.30am this morning, Thursday 11th July 2024, are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
