Willow Park Junior School have paid tribute to their late Principal James Docherty following his unexpected death.
In a statement shared on the school's website, the school community said: "We are heartbroken to share with you the news of the unexpected passing of our beloved and devoted Principal James. Our thoughts and love are with his loving wife and cherished family.
"Words cannot express grief at times like this. James was the kindest of men and tried to solve everyone’s problems.
James will forever have a massive place in the heart of Willow Park.
"May his journey ahead bring him peace."
Blackrock College Union also paid tribute to Mr. Docherty in a tribute which said: "The President, Committee and Members of the Blackrock College Union wish to extend their deepest sympathies to the family of Mr. James Docherty, Principal Willow Park Junior School. May he rest in eternal peace. Fides et Robur."
