Hollywood actor calls out Irish Green Party breaking their environmental promises

Hollywood actor and activist Mark Ruffalo has called on the Irish people to hold the government to account as plans are underway for a floating liquified natural facility to be built in the Shannon estuary.

In a staged video called with Oliver, the Hulk actor said: "The Green Party, which promised the voters that they would stop the import of frack gas and LNG when they joined the coalition government in 2020, but since then they have been opening the door for Irish government to build an LNG terminal in the Shannon estuary of all places."

Ruffalo and Oliver are asking the Irish public to sign a petition calling on the Irish government to "remove provisions in the Planning Bill that fast-track new fossil fuel infrastructure."
