Pint of Guinness
Over the Christmas period, a Diageo spokesperson, has said that the supply of Guinness has had to be limited after "exceptional demand". Guinness production is expected to be at 100% capacity but the Irish brewer has placed limits on orders in Great Britain.
What is the reason why the iconic Irish stout has had such a demand this year of all years? Well there's a couple of trends that could suggest why the beer is so sought after over the Christmas period.
In the recent couple of years Guinness has not just been a drink drank in your local pub but one that's plastered all over social media, with Guinness working with a number of influencers as the drink has been rising in popularity with young people and women.

Diageo have branded theses influencers as "Guinfluencers" and even just from anecdotal evidence the popularity of Guinness on social media is much more popular than ever before, with it almost becoming the trendy drink to get at the pub.
Another huge trend that can be found on social media is 'splitting the G' which can be found all over social media with Guinness drinkers attempting to have their first sip of Guinness finishing in the middle of the G on the glass.
These could be part of the reasons why there is unprecedent demand in the UK in the lead up to Christmas.
A Diageo spokesperson has said that
Over the past month we have seen exceptional consumer demand for Guinness in Great Britain.
"We have maximised supply and we are working proactively with our customers to manage the distribution to trade as efficiently as possible."
So don't fear (unless you're in the UK) we should be able to get a pint of the black stuff on this side of the Irish sea over the festive period.
