Gardaí from Edgeworthstown Station, in Longford over the bank holiday weekend, caught a driver driving using their mobile phone.
Not only was the driver using their phone but subsequently tested positive for cocaine.
The Gardaí posted about the incident on their official Twitter account.

The tweet from An Garda Síochána Twitter account and it reads:
Gardaí from Edgeworthstown Station, conducting a high-visibility speed checkpoint for the Bank Holiday weekend, detected a motorist using a mobile phone. The driver subsequently tested positive for cocaine at the roadside & was arrested. Court proceedings to follow
Comments under the post read as follows:
"Confiscate the car permanently"
Another reads:
"No sympathy for them, even when they are told that there WILL be checkoints in operation, they are still too stupid to understand the consequences."
