Property in Dublin searched in relation to the disappearance and murder of Annie McCarrick

Annie McCarrick, 26

An Garda Síochána are continuing to investigate all the circumstances in the disappearance and murder of Annie McCarrick in March 1993.

With Gardaí search a property in Clondalkin, Dublin. Gardaí will remain on site in order to return the site to the current residents.

Details of the search are not being released to the public for operational reasons.

Annie McCarrick was born on the 21st of March 1967 and was 26 years old at the time of her disappearance. She was the only child of her father John (deceased) and mother Nancy and was originally from New York.

From the Garda Press Office:

"The investigation into the disappearance and murder of Annie McCarrick continues to led by the investigation team from DMR South Central Division Serious Crime Unit based at Irishtown Garda Station under the direction of a Senior Investigating Officer, assisted by the Serious Crime Review Team, Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

An Garda Síochána appeals to anyone with any information, no matter how small or insignificant they might believe it to be, to contact the Garda Investigation team.

Gardaí continue to appeal to any person who may have previously come forward who felt they could not provide Gardaí with all the information they had in relation to this matter, to contact the investigation team again. With the passage of time they may now be in a position to speak further with the investigation team.

Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, will be welcomed by the investigation team. This information will be treated in the strictest confidence."
