With a summer of sport in full swing, attention now turns to the European Athletics Team Championships Division 2. Bringing together some of Ireland's most talented athletes, the intense event is one of the most well-known international track and field competitions in the world.
Team Ireland have arrived in Slovenia ahead of the European Athletics Team Championships, which begin in the city of Maribor over the course of the weekend.
43 athletes have been selected by Athletics Ireland, who will compete in Division 2 of the Championships alongside 15 other countries. The top three countries will gain promotion to Division 1, while the bottom three countries are relegated to Division 3.
