Kerry TD Danny Healy-Rae has confirmed he will not be making a formal complaint after he was allegedly shoved by a garda ahead of Sunday's All-Ireland football final in Dublin.
This comes just hours after multiple videos were circulated across social media appearing to show the 71-year-old being pushed by a uniformed member of gardaí along Cathedral Street in the capital.
In one video, which has since amassed over 500,000 views, Mr Healy-Rae is raising his arms up-and-down as he walks, inciting cheers from fellow Kerry supporters.

A visibly frustrated Mr Healy-Rae then walks up to the garda, talking with him before quickly retreating. The garda is seen following the Kerry native while the crowd is heard booing throughout the encounter.
“I was just having fun and the garda pushed me. There was no call for it. I asked him why he’d done that. I am thinking of making a complaint," the Kerry TD told the Irish Independent shortly after the alleged altercation.
However, now, one day on from the incident and following Kerry's victory over Donegal at Croke Park, Mr Healy-Rae has decided not to pursue a formal complaint.
Speaking with The Journal, he said: "There was no need for it and all that, it would be nice if he apologised but I’m going no further with it. Let his superiors deal with it. I’m doing no more."
When asked for comment on the viral video, a spokesperson for gardaí said: “Anyone who wishes to report the conduct of a member of An Garda Síochána is entitled to make a complaint to the independent policing ombudsman, Fiosrú.”
