Two dead, two seriously injured, and others hurt following early morning crash in Meath

Two men dead, one woman and one girl seriously injured following crash in Meath this morning

Two men have died and one woman is injured following a crash that happened in Gormanstown, Co. Meath early this morning.

Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of the fatal three-vehicle collision on the R132.

The collision, involving a lorry, a bus and a car, occurred at approximately 6.30am.

The male driver of the lorry (aged his 40’s) and the male driver of the bus (aged in his 50’s) were pronounced dead at the scene.

The female driver of the car (aged in her 40’s) was conveyed to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The female passenger of the car (aged in her teens) was initially conveyed to our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, and transferred to Temple Street Children’s Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

A number of people have also been taken to hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.

The R132 is currently closed pending technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were traveling on the R132, at Gormanstown, Co. Meath, between 5.45am and 6.45am this morning are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
