Man in his 30s killed in road collision in Longford

A man in his 30s has been killed in a road collision in County Longford.

Gardai are appealing for information or dashcam footage on the crash which occurred on Saturday evening.

The collision involved two cars and a van and occurred on the Longford Town side of the N4 at around 7pm.

The man who was killed was the driver of one of the cars.

Another man, aged in his 30s, has been taken to hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be serious but non-life threatening.

No other injuries have been reported at this time.

The road is currently closed for forensic examination.
