A man has died in a crash between a lorry and a motorcycle in Co Sligo.
The incident took place at Rusheen, Riverstown at around 9.20am on Tuesday.
The man, a motorcyclist aged in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been taken to the mortuary at Sligo University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place.
The driver of the lorry was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The road was closed while a technical examination of the scene is carried out by forensic collision investigators.
Diversions are in place in Riverstown and on the R284 (Ballygawley to Ballyfarnon Road).
Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision and anyone who may have camera or dash-camera footage to come forward.
It comes after seven people died in separate car crashes across the island of Ireland on Saturday, including 16-year-old Mia Lily Keogh O’Keeffe who died while she walking in Co Meath.
