Needy Newbridge families require more breakfast cereals

Generous Newbridge people donated more than 100 food parcels to deprived families in the town last week.

The items were donated at weekend masses as well as at the Parish Centre.

Supermarkets like Tesco, SuperValu and Dunnes Stores also accept contributions from members of the public.

A Newbridge parish spokesperson said: "Many thanks for your generous donations last weekend.

"113 food parcels were distributed to needy people in the town during the week.

"Food in special demand at present includes sugar, breakfast cereal, jam, tinned fruit and tinned meat."
