The Dublin Racing Festival is the newest addition to the Irish festival calendar at Leopardstown Racecourse on Saturday, February 3 and Sunday, February 4.

There will be stunning racing action on the track with 7 Grade One Races and a staggering €1.5 Million in prizemoney -  and two music headliners – Damien Dempsey (Feb 3) and Stockton’s Wing (Feb 4).

The Unibet Irish Gold Cup and the BHP Insurance Irish Champion Hurdle races have previously features legends such as Arkle, Hurricane Fly Sizing John, Florida Pearl, Brave Inca, Istabraq, Moscow Flyer, Douvan, Sizing Europe and Jodami.

The Irish Champion Hurdle was won for five consecutive years by the great Hurricane Fly, who is immortalised at Leopardstown in a life-size bronze sculpture commissioned by his owners.

Willie Mullins continued his domination of this race in 2016 with the impressive Faugheen but Henry de Bromhead claimed the title most recently with Gigginstown’s Petit Mouchoir.

Sunday 4th February will feature the Unibet Irish Gold Cup which was won by Sizing John, trained by Jessica Harrington last year.

Sizing John also won the Cheltenham and Punchestown Gold Cup to his victories.

This is the only race meeting in Ireland to feature four Grade 1 races in one day, with the Deloitte Novice Hurdle, Flogas Novice Chase and Spring Juvenile Hurdle keeping the excitement going.
