A man residing in Newbridge  found with €120,000 worth of drugs appeared before Naas District Court.

The 35-year-old man, originally from Poland, is facing charges of being found with €80,000 of MDMA at Moorefield Park, Newbridge, on March 5, 2018.

Detective Séamus Doyle told the court how in a follow-up search, at Aughrim St, Dublin, €40,000 worth of ketamine was found.

The court heard how the accused is alleged to have set up a 'make-shift lab' at his home in Newbridge and had three pill making machines.

Detective Doyle objected to bail.

He said: "I believe that he is a flight risk."

Barrister Aisling Murphy said that there would be no formal application for bail.

The court heard that his assets have been seized including a BMW and Harley Davidson.

He has been remanded in custody to appear again before Naas District Court, for a Book of Evidence, on September 20, next.
