New Clane Boys National School moving a step closer says local TD

Local Fianna Fail TD, Frank O’Rourke, has welcomed the news that the Department of Education is currently carrying out a final review of the tender documentation associated with the pre-qualification process.

Speaking about the news, Deputy O'Rourke said:“The Minister for Education has informed me by way of an answer to my Parliamentary Question, that the pre-qualification process to select a shortlist of suitable contractors for the Clane Boys National School has been completed. The Design Team is currently carrying out a final review of tender documentation.

Once this work is complete, the Department of Education will be in contact with the Board of Management of the Clane Boys National School with a view to progressing the project to tender stage.”

“We need to be providing school places in line with population growth rather than trying to play catch once the population is in place. I will keep a focus on need to ensure that we invest in our school infrastructure in North Kildare," concluded Deputy O’Rourke.
