A dry start to the day with sunny spells but scattered showers will break out for the afternoon and evening with a few heavy downpours possible for parts of Co Kildare.
Maximum temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees in moderate southwest winds. While the morning will be largely dry, the afternoon will see widespread showers according to forecasters from Met Eireann.
"Scattered showers in the west and northwest this morning but largely dry elswhere with sunny spells. Showers will become fairly widespread across the country this afternoon with a few heavy downpours possible," said a forecaster from Met Eireann.
Met Eireann has also warned that there is a chance of 'heavy and thundery' showers on the way tomorrow.
Any evening showers will tend to die out and clear to leave it largely dry overnight with clear spells and just isolated showers. Minimum temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees in mostly light southwest winds.
