Local Fianna Fail TD, Frank O’Rourke, has raised the concerns of residents in relation to traffic speed on the old N4 now R148.

“I met with residents recently in relation to their concerns about speeding on this road. Residents in estates such as Abbeyfield are very concerned about the speeding of traffic on this road," said Deputy O'Rourke.

“I have put forward traffic calming measures proposals to Kildare Co. Co. which would assist in slowing down the traffic on this road. Measures such as; traffic islands, speed cushions and speed tables will assist in slowing down traffic speed.”

“I have received a commitment from the council that it will positively consider my proposals. I have also raised the concerns of residents living along the Kilcock road in Clane in relation to the speed on traffic on this road," cocluded Deputy O’Rourke.
