€750 worth of damage was caused to a school in Allenwood during an incident of criminal damage.

Gardai say three teens hopped the gate of Scoil Mhuire on Sunday last, October 20 between 3 and 3:30pm.

Anyone with information is asked to contact gardai.

Commenting on the incident, Cllr. Brendan Wyse said, "This is very disappointing news for our community. It is hard enough to run a primary school without people going in and causing very expensive criminal damage. I have noticed people around the school gate at weekends and evenings, when there's no reason for them to be there. I am calling on local residents to report any sightings of individuals at the school gate outside of school hours to the Gardai in Robertstown."
