Car stolen from Kilcullen, County Kildare, later recovered in County Dublin — gardaí

An Garda Síochána has said that a car stolen which was stolen from Kilcullen was later recovered in County Dublin.

Garda Shane Smyth discussed the incident and subsequent discovery of the car when he appeared on KFM yesterday morning.

He said that the car was stolen from the Hermitage Park region of Kilcullen at around 2.43am on Monday, July 8 last.

"The car was later recovered in Dublin," Gda Smyth added.

He also said that gardaí are appealing for CCTV footage in relation to the incident.

Commenting on the matter, a garda spokesperson told the Leinster Leader: "Gardaí are investigating the unauthorised taking of a car, which occurred at a residential location in Kilcullen, County Kildare, in the early hours of Monday, July 8, 2024.

"The vehicle was later located in the Dublin area."

They added: "Investigations are ongoing."
