Kildare County Council have said that no lighting will be put on the Wonderful Barn in north Kildare until a masterplan for the site is completed.
Cllr Joe Neville had requested that the council provide lighting for the iconic building, but the development of the site must be determined by a conservation plan. Cllr Neville also requested that the Office of Public Works prune the trees to ensure the Wonderful Barn is visible from Castletown House.
"It is not proposed to light the Wonderful Barn at present until a conservation plan and master plan for the site is complete which will inform the development of the site," read the council's report.
"The Office of Public Works will be contacted in relation to pruning the trees," it concluded.
