Our 'Indian summer' is set to come to a halt this weekend

The past five days have been far from typical for this time of year as the sun has constantly bubbled above us and cloud cover remained a rarity for the majority of the week around Kildare.

However, those of you who are planning on getting out and about to such events as the Carragh fun day or the Senior Football Championship semi-finals in Newbridge tomorrow would be best to bring an umbrella.

Tomorrow morning will begin with plenty of fog still causing problems for drivers, but as that gradually clears throughout the morning it will be replaced by a hazy mist and further cloudy spells.

Only slight breakthroughs of sunshine will occur and it will remain generally mild with temperatures around 11-14 degrees during the day.

For anyone planning a night on the town on Saturday it should remain dry in most areas and not very cold. Lowest temperatures for tomorrow night are expected to be 5-9 degrees.

Sunday will see a return to the weather we experienced for most of the summer, with widespread rain forecast throughout the country. South westerly winds will be quite strong throughout the afternoon also, with high temperatures of about 11-14 degrees expected.
