Kildare North Labour General Election Candidate Emmet Stagg contacted the Minister for Education and Skills in relation to progress with the building of Phase 1 of the New Maynooth Educate Together School on the Celbridge Road, Maynooth.
Mr. Stagg stated that the contractors MEIC Limited commenced construction of the school last October, which comprises the construction of a new 8 classroom school. When Phase 1 is completed, pupils will move from the existing temporary accommodation into the New School building, and at that stage the temporary accommodation will be removed so that Phase 2 of the project can proceed, which will see a further 8 classrooms constructed, with an expected completion date of Quarter 1 of 2020.
The Minister for Education has advised Mr. Stagg that Phase 1 of the Maynooth Educate Together School is due for completion and handover in Quarter 2 of 2019.
Kildare North Labour General Election Candidate Emmet Stagg stated that he was pleased that the construction of Phase 1 of the New Maynooth Educate Together School was on target and he looked forward to the move by pupils and staff into the new school in the Summer.
