Kildare Co Council has received further information on an ambitious plan to convert disused stables in Jigginstown, Naas into homeless accommodation.

Homeless Care is a charity set up in Naas in December 2014 to provide care and facilities for young adults primarily in the age bracket 18 to 25 years old who have been in State Care and now find themselves Homeless.

Permission is being sought to refurbish and alter existing disused dwelling and stables and out buildings into a training facility with ancillary accommodation.

Being proposed for the dwelling is an office, meeting rooms, training facilities, staff accommodation and games room with a single storey extension to accommodate kitchen / dining facilities.

Designs for the stables / out buildings include 12 one bed studio apartments.

A car park and boundary walls are also in the plans.
