Plans refused for €805k apartment development in Kildare

Planning permission has been refused for an €805k apartment development in Newbridge, Co Kildare.

Xhezaj Construction Limited submitted a planning application to Kildare County Council on March 6 2025 for the construction of an apartment development consisting of 4 apartments.

This consisted of:

• three x two bedroom apartments and one x one bedroom apartment
• construction of a single storey detached bin and bicycle building entrance
• car parking and landscaping and all associated site works.

The plans were lodged with respect to a site addressed at Naas Road, Newbridge, Co Kildare.

Construction Information Services (CIS) notes that on December 4 2025, Application number 2560225 was refused

.An appeal was lodged on December 16 2025 and was awaiting a decision.

Following an appeal being lodged, An Coimisiún Pleanálar refused planning permission on October 23 2026.
