A developer has submitted plans to construct almost 100 new homes in Athy as part of a €10 million project.
Kildare County Council received the application from Paddy Raggett Homes Limited for Phase 1 of a three phase housing development to include the erection of 99 residential units on Geraldine Road.
According to planning documents, the development will consist of five two-storey 4-bedroom detached dwellings, two two-storey 4-bedroom semi-detached dwellings, 36 two-storey 3-bed semi-detached dwellings, 20 3-bedroom semi-detached dwellings, 16 two-storey 2-bedroom town houses, 10 ground floor 2-bedroom apartments and 10 first floor one-bedroom apartments.
The planning documents also include car parking, bin stores, bicycle stores and boundary walls, a new site entrance off Geraldine Road, the provision of vehicular and pedestrian access to adjoining site to the south west.
Kildare County Council are currently considering the application.
