Kilkenny is the main destination this morning after the Prince of Wales and the Dutchess of Cornwallaccepted an invite to attend Kilkenny Castle, and they will leave there at around 2pm to make their way to the National Stud and the Japanese Gardens. They also plan on visiting the defence forces UN training camp today on their visit to this part of the country.
There are numerous road closures and restrictions in place down in Kilkenny until after the Royal Party leaves this afternoon, but Gardaí have not indicated whether or not there will be any road closures around Kildare to cater for the Royal visit.
