This Saturday marks the opening ceremony for Relay 2018 at Punchestown. The opening ceremony is at 1pm and the closing ceremony is Sunday at 1pm.
The opening laps will be led by all survivors and the Candle of Hope Ceremony is due to commence around 8.30pm on Saturday evening. There is a full programme of entertainment and events throughout the 24 hours of Relay.
Relay For Life is a 24 hour community event which celebrates people who have survived a cancer diagnosis, remembers those lost to the disease and brings the community together to Fight Back against cancer.
A spokesperson said: "At Relay For Life Kildare our mission is to honour as many cancer survivors, men, women and children, as possible, remember those we have lost,raise at least €100K for cancer research in the fight against cancer and have fantastic fun doing it."
