Royal Visit: Helicopter and 20-vehicle convoy carrying Charles and Camilla expected around 3pm

An helicopter ferrying Prince Charles and his wife Camilla is expected to touch down in the Curragh at around 3pm today.
The royal couple, who will be travelling from Thomastown in Co Kilkenny, will then transfer to the royal BMW car which will travel in a convoy of up to 20 security vehicles fronted by six Motorcycle Gardai.
Marked and unmarked Garda vehicles will also form part of the high-security convoy which will include people carriers transporting royal officials and protection officers.
Prince Charles will visit the UN Training School in the Curragh while Camilla will be transported to the National Stud just over 5km away.
There will also be a heavy presence by uniformed and plain clothes Garda as well as Army troops on all local roads which will close off for the visit.
There will be 'no fly zones' enforced - which will include a ban on drones.
Areas around the locations being visited have been secured over the past 24 hours and manholes and dust bins have been sealed for security reasons.
Earlier this morning, Prince Charles tried his hand at hurling during a visit with Camilla to Kilkenny Castle (pictured).
