Samaritans in Newbridge looking for volunteers

The Samaritans organisation is seeking new volunteers to work in its office in Newbridge.

Samaritans is a registered charity aimed at providing emotional support to anyone in emotional distress, struggling to cope, or at risk of suicide.

Only three or four hours per week are required from volunteers.

Information nights for the public are being held on this Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7.30pm for one hour.

The events are taking place at McElwain Terrace, Newbridge - opposite the Parish Centre.

The information evening will cover the work of the Samaritans, the commitment required from volunteers and the training provided.
